We generally have a handful of commuter students. Commuter students are encouraged to participate in all the outside activities that are planned for residential students, and are expected to spend at least 10 hours a week in evening Open Studios. A large part of the pre-college experience, however, consists of learning to live semi-independently in the Residence Hall and of sharing meals with the other students.
