What is the ratio for mixing concrete for a path or driveway?

The standard mix for 75mm thick pathways is 5 blue-metal to 3 sand 1.5 cement is best, use 6mm min. steel mesh sheeting to be placed no closer than 50mm to edges or top/bottom. Form – up sides with timber etc. and keep the finished job damp for seven days if weather is hot to assist in curing and to stop cracking….. For driveways….it depends on the traffic it has to support.. if a standard motor vehicle less than 2 ton then 125mm thickness is recommended, unless there are unstable sub-soils and or steep slopes to overcome…..I always design each site on its own merits for the application….. You should ask about the premixed sand / gravel to what ratio it is mixed? I think most of it is about 3 stone to 2 sand…. it’s OK for DIY ers…. us eat least one cement to this…. for foot paths… Hope this helps.
