What is the range of services Easter Seals offers today?
Pam Kirk: Well, the range of services is much wider than most people realize. I think we are best known for pediatric rehabilitation services: Physical, occupation and speech therapy for kids from birth on up. But we also have a wide range of other services — of course, the therapies are also available to adults. We also have a therapeutic preschool for 3- to 5-year-olds and an inclusive day care facility called Milestones, which serves kids with and without disabilities. We offer assistive technology to help individuals of all ages be as independent as possible in their homes and at work and other “work ready” services such as worksite adaptations and job function evaluations. We also have a therapeutic pool which is really the only one of its kind in the area.
