What is the Radioactivity in Food and the Environment (RIFE) report?
The RIFE report collates data on the levels of radionuclides in food and environmental samples mainly from around UK nuclear sites but also from locations well away from nuclear sites. The report explains the radiological doses that could be received by groups of consumers who live and eat foods from around the UK’s nuclear sites that might contain small amounts of radionuclides from the release of radioactive discharges from these sites.
