What is the R-Value of Icynene?
3.6 per Inch or R-13 for 2×4, R-20 for 2×6, R-28 for 2×8, R-36 for 2×10. These are 100% Effective R-Value Ratings, meaning there is no compromise to the R-value. Electrical Boxes and Fixtures, Plumbing, Duct Work and Odd Shaped and Sized Wall Cavities reduce the insulating abilities of most conventional insulation’s. This can reduce Effective R-Values by up to 50% or more, however since Icynene is custom made on site it will always fill each void with maximum rated effectiveness.
