What is the Quote button for?

0

A QUOTE button is placed in each post. This button is used to refer directly to a special post, that might not be the newest in the list. You will see the same text editor as if you where replying. The difference is, that the post you want to quote is already included in the editor, framed by [quote] tags in box brackets. As a publisher of a new post you are able to edit the quoted text. But this should be restricted to deleting parts you don’t want to include in your citation. Changing the statement of a quoted user text would be an offense against the forum rules.
