What is the quickest relief for a toothache until you can see a dentist?
Go to the drugstore and buy some of that Red Cross clove oil. It’s in a tiny brown bottle near the tooth pain relief stuff. Buy some QTips while you’re at it. It’s the only thing I know of that can kill a toothache, with the exception of pain killers, but every 15 minutes or so you may have to reapply it. Another helpful idea, if you know where the hole is, or where the nerve is exposed, you can put braces wax (found in the same area of the store) to cover it, or even chew up a piece of white tissue paper and put it in there…keeping the nerve from saliva and air makes it less sensitive.
