Bio-fertilizer is to be applied @ 20 kg/ha/year in 5 equal split doses. Fore each dose, four kg of bio-fertilizer are to be mixed with 200 kg farm yard manure and applied within 10 days after pruning the plants. Gypsum is applied to reclaim the alkali soil. The quantity of Gypsum to be applied varies with the pH value of the soil. However, application of Gypsum @ 8MT/ha/year can be done as a general recommendation to reduce soil pH.
