What is the purpose of the User Defined Facilities inventory category?
The User Defined Facility inventory category is empty, by default, from HAZUS. It is intended for you to input site specific data (by latitude-longitude) that you wish to analyze based on it’s precise location rather than part of the General Building Stock. For instance, you may wish to analyze the damage and losses associated with residential buildings based on their lat-long position relative to a flood hazard. It is also a holding place category for site specific inventory that does not otherwise fit well into an existing category. For example, pharmacies, places of worship, animal shelters, etc. Whether you choose to analyze them or not, their importance in a hazard event may still be worth displaying on the map.
