These are provided to store your inflatable paddle float. Most of these paddle floats can be tightly rolled to a diameter of about two inches, and a length of about one foot. We like to add one heavy rubber band to each end of the tightly rolled float, then insert it parallel with your stored pump, thru both the shock cord loops. These secure the float tightly to the pump holder while allowing purposeful removal. Check your hull clearances and be sure that using this feature will not conflict with ingress-egress. If you store your paddle float elsewhere, the shock cord may be removed without adversely effecting any other function.
