What is the purpose of the SOTE/SOLATE evaluations?
A. By evaluating our professors it not only holds the faculty responsible, evaluations also provide feedback on teaching and offers suggestions on instructional improvements as well as possible course and/or program revisions. SOTES and SOLATES also play an important role in faculty promotions, tenure, and salary increases for the instructiors. The evaluation process allows department heads to identify the professors that need improvement and to provide them support.
