What is the purpose of the Reading Week Community Service Projects?
The purpose of the Reading Week Community Service Projects is to provide university students with an intensive, short-term experiential learning opportunity where their community service work directly benefits inner-city schools. This experience helps to raise students’ awareness about health, social and political issues, while breaking down stereotypes, building teamwork and interpersonal skills, and promoting diversity.
