What is the purpose of the Random Sample Group?
An important part of the assessment process is the collection of a random sampling of student assessments and scores. The data from these materials will be used to show the relationship between performance on the Indiana Reading Diagnostic Assessments and on the Grade 3 ISTEP+, to analyze reading progress, and for other research studies. The materials will also be re-scored and evaluated for scoring consistency. All random sampling data is kept strictly confidential and is never used to evaluate the teacher or school specifically.
