What is the purpose of the prefilter in the Portable Air Cleaners?
The prefilter is a polyester-based activated carbon mixture and absorbs odours. It should be replaced every 60 to 90 days, or whenever the unit emits a persistent unpleasant odour. This odour indicates that the absorptive capacity of the carbon has been used up.
