What is the purpose of the PPT meeting?

Briefly the purpose of the PPT meeting is to teach the first year students how to program. It is one hour (50 minutes) long and involves face to face interaction between PPT, UTA and students. Given the size of the PPT group the meeting allows ithe students a great deal of individual attention and feedback on their programs. The meeting should be a very valuable learning resource for the PPT students.
