What is the purpose of the joiner Fee?
The joiner fee was adopted by the YMCA of Southern Indiana to give us the capital to expand/maintain the facility and add equipment. The membership fee you pay only covers the day to day operations of the YMCA. Although we had a successful capital campaign a few years ago to expand the facility, we use the joiner fees to make up the difference in what we raise and what we build.
