What is the purpose of the European Union?
Mainly, its purpose is to direct and govern European countries. Since the establishment of the EU, Europe has grown closer together. Some ways in which it has become closer are: • Promoting peace and stability in Europe through discussion rather than fighting. One way in which the EU accomplishes this goal is through the leaders who represent the member countries. They are know as the European Commissioners. • Creating a common currency for Europeans called the Euro. • Establishing Committees for European-wide resources and organizations such as Court of Justice and the European Economic and Social Committee.
