What is the purpose of the ESF #2 Training Conferences?
The conferences provide an opportunity to train and develop the Emergency Communications Team members with diverse, functional telecommunications responder skills, such as, telecommunications management, telephony engineering, spectrum analysis/ management, resource acquisition, and administration. Additionally, the conferences build upon these skills sets by reinforcing classroom instruction with a scenario-driven emergency response exercise. The exercise is designed to replicate the activation, deployment, response and recovery, and deactivation processes that are required for ESF #2 operations during an Incident of National Significance.
