The energy saver mode is a function that is designed to decrease the energy consumption of the unit. While energy saver mode is activated, once the room temperature has reached the desired setting the fan and compressor will stop running. Then, the fan will cycle on and off every 2-3 minutes to gauge the temperature of the room. If the temperature has risen above what the air conditioner has been set for, then the compressor will begin to run again to start cooling the room.
