What is the purpose of The Emblem Project?
The Emblem Project was initially created (long before it had any sort of name) to come up with and produce a pin that could be worn by BDSMers to discretely identify themselves to each other even in a potentially hostile vanilla environment. That story is told in the Emblem Project History pages. With that goal met, the Emblem Project today exists to promote the Emblem within the BDSM community, to develop new and better products that allow the Emblem to fulfill its purpose, and to make those products available to BDSMers world-wide.
