WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING™ ACTION BAND?
Most D-A-S™ users are normally not involved in energetic activities, and appreciate the convenience of slipping in and out of the device quickly and easily. In these cases, the Action Band is not needed, and it can be dispensed with completely. For more active users, and especially for children, the Action Band, which encircles both the D-A-S™ and the user’s forearm, keeps the arm comfortably in the selected position in the D-A-S™. Without the Action Band, it is possible that the arm of an overly-active user could shift position in the D-A-S™, as would likely happen with most arm slings under the same circumstances. ACTION BAND ON-BOARD STORAGE When not used to maintain the arm’s position in the D-A-S™, the Action Band can be attached lengthwise to a free section of the D-A-S™, using Velcro® connections. With the Action Band stored on-board, the D-A-S™ can be used normally.
