The purpose of the project is to develop a valid and reliable standardized intake process and assessment to measure the basic literacy and oral English language skills of low literacy level adult ESL/ELL learners. Currently no such assessment is available in English in the US or internationally. The use of touch screen technology offers literacy learners and administering agencies an accessible and affordable testing option in place of paper delivery.
