What is the purpose of the Academic Common Market and what are the advantages?
Students who are classified as residents and live within any of the sixteen Southern states may participate in the Academic Common Market (ACM). ACM is an agreement that enables students to pursue unique academic majors offered at public institutions in the other ACM states. ACM students pay in-state tuition. Savings to Maryland students and parents are significant. In turn, Maryland taxpayers save because ACM provides access to costly, unique baccalaureate and graduate programs that otherwise would have to be duplicated in our own State.
