What is the purpose of PowerSafe?
PowerSafe’s purpose is to provide a standard safety orientation for the utility workforce. Utility companies benefit when all contractors have received the same awareness level training. PowerSafe also serves as an online source for reporting and real-time training records management. Owners are able to see their employees’ training records, as well as those of their participating contractors, with permission. This further benefits an owner or contractor during audits. Written to industry standards by a collaborative of utility contractors and owners, PowerSafe is delivered and administered by a non-profit organization dedicated to improving safety in the workplace. PowerSafe T&D is just one of the many safety programs developed and administered by the Safety Council LCA in its efforts to achieve its safety-driven mission.
