What Is The Purpose of Have Two Nominations for Membership?
Our criterion for membership is simple. Will the person make a positive contribution to the forum? We’re quite willing to invite the vast majority of people who are nominated. If two members think someone else would be a constructive, participatory member, then for the most part, we trust their judgment, and we will always endeavor to err on the side of giving the benefit of the doubt to a nominee, regardless of past issues or personal feelings. The only exceptions are where we might have information that’s not generally available or otherwise need to take into consideration the best interests and goals of the forum as a whole. In this case, we’ll have to ask you to give us the benefit of the doubt. In that regard, you may only nominate people FOR membership. Were not interested in entertaining nominations for exclusion, even in jest. We will delete posts to that effect.
