What is the purpose of a Redevelopment Project Area?
A redevelopment plan is used as a funding mechanism for areas that need improvements. The foundation of it is based on keeping local tax dollars in the local community. The purposes of redevelopment are to improve inadequate infrastructure, restore deteriorated and vacant buildings, and provide housing for low- and moderate income households.
