What is the purpose of a living will?
A. A Living Will or an Advance Directive for Health Care, as it is referred to in Pennsylvania is a document in which an individual can state what sorts or what kinds of medical treatment he or she is to be given if he or she ever finds himself or herself unable to communicate and in a permanent coma, or a terminal condition. This document gives one the ability to state whether or not you want to be kept alive if you have no real hope of achieving a conscious state again.
