What is the purpose of a call type “reporting name”? How is it useful?
Call types are identifiers based on dialing patterns, specific to a rate plan; their reporting names are the labels that appear on reports. They can be used to simplify reports by grouping call types across multiple rate plans and/or re-labeling types of calls to less confusing names – for example, you can group “LATA-1” (In-LATA, In-State) and “LATA-2” (In-LATA, Out-of-State) under an “IntraLATA” reporting name.
