If that is the case, the maximum penalty you could face, pursuant to C.G.S. 53a-36 is a 1 year jail term with upto 2 years probation. However, the punishment depends on what the resolution at the Court is. If you have no prior history, you may be able to work out some sort of program like AR and avoid any punishment other than some classes and monitoring, after which the charge is dismissed.
