What is the Puerto Rico TDI benefit formula?
Benefits are paid weekly, are partially taxable and provide an income replacement of 65% of an employee’s average weekly pay up to a minimum benefit of $12.00 and a maximum weekly benefit of $113.00. Benefits for agricultural employees are limited to $55 maximum per week. Benefits commence on the eighth (8th) consecutive day of disability (retroactive to the first day of disability if the disabled person is hospitalized) and continue for up to a maximum of 26 weeks. The maximum weekly benefit is recalculated annually and is a function of the statewide average weekly wage. There are additional benefits for death and dismemberment.
