The Matrix Science web server runs Mascot searches on an IBM eServerTM BladeCenterTM, as described on the Mascot Cluster product page. There are 14 blades, each containing dual 3.06 GHz Xeon processors and 1.5 Gb memory. The operating system is Debian Linux. Our Apache web server runs on a separate, dual processor PC with a 1.6 Tb RAID array for storing search results.
