What is the PSD Global Academy attendance policy?

0

Attendance in PSD OA is performance based. Attendance is flexible and allows learning to take place at anytime— day or night. Therefore, we measure attendance based on the following: 1. number of hours logged into coursework 2. successful completion of assignments 3. ongoing communication with the online teacher and PSD OA staff. A Student is considered in violation of the PSD OA Attendance Policy if he/she: 1. is not passing an online course AND 2. not logging in to that class full time (6 hours per day = full-time school) Violating the attendance policy for 4 weeks in a semester is considered Habitual Truancy. If absences continue, the Student will be withdrawn from the PSD Global Academy. Parents are ultimately responsible for making sure their student is attending school regularly. Per the PSD Attendance Policy, children under the age of 17 are required to attend school regularly until graduation from high school or the end of the semester in which s/he turns 17 years of age.
