What is the protection for ordinary family pension, Special Family Pension and liberalised family pension to the family of a Major General?
OFP/SFP/LFP in respect of Major General was less than the corresponding family pension of a Brigadier because of the fact that a Brigadier gets Rank pay which, added to basic pay, becomes higher than the pay of a Major General. It has now been clarified by the Govt. that family pension in respect of Major General will not be less than the family pension of a Brigadier. All cases of Major General are being revised suomoto.
