What is the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test?
It’s good to know that it’s not cancer-specific. I’ve read Super Beta Prostate supplement reviews that feature people who had really high PSA but never developed cancer. The supplement really helped the symptoms.
PSA in the blood. If the prostate becomes enlarged as a result of cancer, the amount of PSA produced by the prostate will increase. Unfortunately, however, the PSA test is not specific to cancer, and levels also rise if a person is suffering from benign (non-cancerous) conditions of the prostate such as benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostatitis.
