What is the proper way to present the smart card to the V-Smart device?
The smart card should be presented by holding either of the flat surfaces of the card to the “belly portion” of the smart card reader which can be located on the right half portion of the V-Smart unit. It is extremely important that the card is held in this position long enough for the data to be properly extracted from the card. This amount of time is typically longer than that of a proximity card read. Once the card data is properly extracted, you will be notified by either a solid amber LED during fingerprint verification or a message given by the software during enrollment.
