What is the proper way to handle a coin while examining it?
You should handle your Presidential Coins with soft cotton gloves. This will protect the surfaces and design elements of the coins from the damaging salts, acids and oils in fingers or palms which can be corrosive to coins over time. Coins should always be held by their edges between thumb and forefinger. Holding your coin over a soft surface, such as a clean, dry towel, is also a good idea. The soft surface is less likely to damage a dropped coin than a hard table or desk top.
