What we do practice and support are the words of Shakyamuni Buddha (Gautama Buddha) in his highest teaching, the Lotus Sutra, when he said, ’I am always seeking the way to make other people equal to me.’ Just last night we had a lecture, where that point was again emphasized. What was clarified is that the whole idea of Buddhism is to find a person enlightened to the Law of the Universe, to then learn to emulate his or her example and to gain from his or her experiences so that we can also live in an enlightened way and also prove the power of the Law of the universe to others, thereby helping them also discover their own enlightened life. In other words, we all have the potential to manifest Buddhahood. That was the entire intent of Shakyamuni Buddha for his advent into this world. And when people stop trying to emulate him, but instead to diefy him, they immediately lose the benefit of his teaching, because they have rejected its foundation- that all people have exactly the same abil
