What is the proper procedure for cardiovascular exercise?
There are 3 important components of cardio exercise, in addition to the actual exercise: warm-up, cool-down and stretching. Warm-up can include about 5-10 minutes of low intensity power walking, sun salutations (yoga), swimming, etc. to warm up the muscles so they will be easier to work with.
