What is the proper pre-filter / filter combination for Infection Control in hospitals?
Most users prefer to use the Cuff system configuration for Infection Control in patient care areas because it more conveniently accommodates stethoscope use. Two choices for cuff configurations are available. The 2000-700 Cuff configuration offers the use of a Filter Cover with the HE Filter and a disposable cuff. The Filter Cover greatly extends the useful life of the HE Filter, and can be reused indefinitely. The 2000-600 Cuff configuration requires the use of a Pre-Filter with the HE Filter for protection of the HE Filter. The Pre-Filter extends the useful life of the filter, and may be discarded periodically. The cuff may be reused until worn or damaged.
