The PROMISE survey, also known as the BFS (Bereaved Family Survey), and as the brief Family Assessment of Treatment at End-of-life (FATE) survey, is an Office of Management and Budget (OMB)-approved survey that provides data about families’ perceptions of the care that the veterans and they themselves received from the VA in the veteran’s last month of life.
