A. Professional Seminar is a co-requisite, capstone course completing your teacher preparation program. This course is taken concurrently during your student teaching assignment. Student Teaching Orientation is the first seminar session held at the beginning of each semester and will provide an overview of the expectations and requirements of the student teaching experience. After orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet with your university supervisor and individual seminar sessions will be scheduled. Sessions are usually scheduled every other week for 2-3 hours. The final seminar class, “Wrap-up Session”, will provide you with a variety of information including the teaching certification process.
