What is the process?
The process includes a desk audit by staff to ensure your application is complete, with all required support materials. Staff contacts you if any document is missing, and your application will be processed when all requested documents are submitted. When staffs desk audit is completed, your application and support materials are assembled for review by our Certification Board.
The first step is for you to provide the information requested on our online form or call us toll-free at 1-800-457-6785. If you submitted your information during our business hours of Mon-Fri, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (EST), you can expect to be contacted by us within an hour to explain how we can help you, and answer any questions you may have. The process from there depends upon which step you decide to take, but most loan options offer same day approval for qualified consumers. Click here to GET STARTED.
• You must qualify under the income guidelines, and you must be a first time homebuyer (cannot currently own a home or have owned a home for the past three (3) years; • Interest/Waiting list for specific category (Very Low-, Low, Moderate) must be open; • Fill out application (your information will be verified); • Qualified applicants will be placed on interest/waiting list (each list may — be have an approximate waiting period of 1-5 years); • When it is determined that affordable units will become available, applicants will be selected (may be subject to “lottery” selection) and invited to attend a “mandatory seminar”; • Applicant completes the mandatory seminar (and other qualifying factors) and is placed on an eligibility list; • When a unit is available for purchase, the eligible participant will continue their process in purchasing the unit.
