United Way partner agencies complete a funding application process for all programs for they are seeking support. These programs are categorized under the four community impact areas and evaluated by the Community Investment Committee. This committee is made up of over 40 local volunteers representing a cross section of our community and using several evaluation tools, such as site visits, program outcomes, financial reviews and available funds, the committee recommends fund distribution that best meets Manatee County’s most pressing needs. United Way’s volunteer board approves all final community investments.
