What is the process to receive criminal justice life experience credits?
Set up a meeting with Dayna Hassell, Director of Bloomfields Center for Adult Learning at 973-748-9000 x. 419 (e-mail: dayna_hassell@bloomfield.edu). 2. You will be asked to fill out a Portfolio Assessment Application. Make sure to attach your resume and any preliminary documentation (e.g., training certificates, special commendations, newspaper articles, etc.) verifying your life/work experience. You may leave blank the course name(s) you think your life/work experience best represents if there is not an exact fit between your past experience and a specific course. Once you have filled out the Portfolio Assessment Application, the Adult Learning Center will send it to Dr. Jeff Mellow for his approval and that of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Chairperson. If you life/work experience is approved, the Adult Learning Center will process the information and contact you to set up an appointment to meet with Dr. Mellow who will advise and assess you on the development of your life/work
