What is the process to make moving arrangements for newly hired personnel?
A. Departments should send a letter or e-mail containing the following information to Bill Dielman in Purchasing: The name and phone number of the new employee. The maximum amount that the department will pay for this move. (Note: Dean of the College or equivalent must approve anything over $7,500.) New employees then have the option of calling the preferred vendor contact to arrange for a pre-move estimate or requesting that Transportation Services (217-333-3561) have the relocation vendor contact the employee.
