Each Poway affordable rental housing development is independently owned and managed. The owner establishes an interest list for people to provide their name, address and phone number so they can receive an application when available. To find out about current interest lists, please call the Housing Hotline at 858.668.4555. Applications for affordable housing are comparable to those required for market-rate rental communities. For Poway affordable for-sale housing, information on program availability can also be obtained on the Housing Hotline. When an interest list is open, advertisements are placed in the Poway News Chieftain. Interested parties are required to complete and mail back self-qualification forms to help determine eligibility. The formal application process includes a first loan application and homebuyer education training.
