You or your health professional will give us a call or send an e-mail to set up an appointment. Then, one of our skilled group therapists will meet with you to discuss the type of group that interests you and provide you with information regarding a particular group. Some groups may also have an educational component. Once you join a group, you’ll discover that after several meetings, a cohesive bond begins to form, one that helps members both trust and provide support to each other. That would be the time when you begin to bring up your questions or concerns in group. WGW Groups are small enough to allow time for everyone and large enough to provide a variety of viewpoints and support possibilities. Depending on the given purpose, groups at WGW may be different in style. One type of group might focus more on the relationship between members in order to provide a social learning experience (if this is what would be most helpful for you).
