If you are like most first-time buyers, you started out searching the Internet or going to open houses. You soon discover that you are not finding a home that suits your needs. The problem is that there are an overwhelming number of homes available. To save time, here are some tips for the first-time buyer: • Find a Realtor that you can trust and that specializes in first-time buyers. This can be very challenging since most Realtors do not specialize in first-time buyers. Most strive to be listing agents first and buyer agents second. In my practice, I seek a balance between an inventory of homes as a listing agent and helping buyers as a buyers agent. I strive to become your trusted advisor in the search for your home. • Get pre-approved by a lender that you trust. It is also important that the lender works well with your Realtor. Often, you Realtor can recommend one or more lenders from which you can choose. • Meet with your Realtor discuss your needs, your wants, and what you can af
