This helps the image to be created on the drum. Write – The laser will write a positive charge image on the drum. Develop – The particles on the drum hit by the laser will release its negative charge. These are now positively charged and will attract the toner, developing the image on the drum. Transfer – During this stage the paper is given a positive charge and sent to transfer the image from the drum. The image on the drum is now transfered onto the paper. It is still in a very fine powdery form and actually not stuck on the paper yet.
