What is the process for requesting an employee transfer to another school?

0

In order to request a transfer, the employee must be tenured or non-probationary. Pursuant to Board policies GBM (certified) and GCM (support), the tenured/non-probationary employee may submit a request for transfer by completing form GBM-R or GCM-R. A copy of form must be sent to the current principal, the principal of the desired location and the executive director of personnel. A transfer request is only for a valid vacancy; therefore, do not submit a request unless the position has been officially posted. Non-tenured and probationary personnel may apply for a transfer after their third year of employment. However, in special circumstances the Superintendent may recommend the transfer of non-tenured/probationary personnel.
